What is Lisa Connect ?

Lisa Connect is a News Group forum that you can join if you are interested in receiving current inquiries, questions, news, views, etc about a particular subject.

Inquiries, questions, comments, news articles, etc that are submitted into the News Group's will be forwarded to you by email as they are submitted into the forum.

You are also encouraged to submit your own inquiries, questions, comments, news articles, etc into the News Group that will be forwarded to others that are within this group.

How do I log into my account ? / How do I get my password ?

To login to your Lisa Connect account click on the link provided on the page. Your user id will be your email address. If you are a new user of this program and do not have a password (or have forgotten your password) there is a link provided for you to have a password emailed to you. Click on this link, enter your email address and then check your email. Password are CASE SENSITIVE - if there is a combination of small and capital letters in your password they must be entered this way in order to work.

How do I change my password ?

Once you have a password you are able to edit this to something different at any time. Login to your account and go to the "Account" page. Click on the "Change Password" link. Password must contain either a combination of small and capital letters and / or have numbers or punctuation marks contained within them. Passwords also need to be at least six characters in length.

How do I remove my name from the Lisa Connect list ?

To remove yourself from the Lisa Connect list you will need to log into your account. Logging in is necessary to alleviate others from being able to edit or change/remove your information. Once you are logged into your account go to the "Account" page, then the "Remove me" page. Once you have completed this logout of your account. Once the system then updates your name will be removed from the list (this can take up to 24 hours)

How do I change my News Groups ?

Login to your account.

Remove from a News Group - Once you are logged into your account you will see a display of the News Groups that you are currently linked to. To remove yourself from a News Group click on the News Group in question. The next page has a "Unscribe" that you can link to that will remove you from this Group.

Subscribe/Join a new News Group - Below the list of News Groups that you are already subscribed to is a "join another news group" link. There is also a tab to "Join a News Group". This link will display to you the network of websites that are available for you to choose from. Once you choose a website, the news groups that are available from that site are displayed and you can click on to "join" the ones you wish. There is also a link here that if you wish to submit something to this news group you can directly link out to do so.

How do I send an inquiry to the News Group ?

You can either send an inquiry through the Newsgroups/Forum or if you log into your account you can chose a News Group that you are currently subscribed to and submit an inquiry from that News Group.

How do I send a message to another person on the Lisa Connect list ? How do I retrieve messages sent to me ?

To send a message or feedback to another person listed in Lisa Connect click on the person's name that you are interested in contacting. On their page is a link to send a Feedback message to them. Once you have submitted your message the person it is being sent to will need to accept you as a contact person on their recipients list. We cannot guarantee acceptance of your message by this person. Profanity, spam, hate, pornographic messages, etc will not be allowed.

If a message is sent to you, you will receive an email to notify you of this. Within this email will be a link to log into your account and read this message. Below this message sent to you will be a feedback form for you to be able to reply to this message, approve this person to send you messages, Blacklist this person from being able to send you messages or file this message for future reading. A log of messages sent to you can be viewed and retrieve in your account in the "Feedback" link.

How do I add commentary to my page within Lisa Connect ?

Commentary can be added to your page for others to view so that you can post something about yourself, your interests, etc. To add or change the commentary on your page you will need to log into your account. Once logged in you will be able to go to the "Commentary" area and add commentary to your page for others to view. Please note that only the most recent commentary will be displayed on your page.
