The Colorado Health and Hospital Association represents all types of hospitals throughout Colorado: private and government-operated, metropolitan and rural, large and small, investor-owned and not-for-profit. Our members care for more than 420,000 people annually in general service, academic, specialty and psychiatric hospitals. Nearly seven million outpatient visits including surgeries, home health care and emergency room visits are recorded each year. With more than 44,000 people (FTEs) employed and a combined payroll of more than $1.8 billion, Colorado hospitals are important to the state as health care providers and as major economic and employment contributors.
